The newer cars have a front strut that is is held at the bottom by a hefty clamp in the bearing carrier. After using your own spring compressor, this tool will spread the clamp. Don't break your good screwdrivers on this task!
For Golf/Jetta/New Beetle/EOS/Passat/CC/Tiguan/Touareg from 1999.
Handy hex base fits into wrench or socket. Turn 90 and leave in place while replacing strut.

I had bought one a couple years ago from raceland and it performed badly, the metal bent and ended up not working. But the one I bought from uro tuning felt way better and worked perfectly!

Tool worked great for me. Take your time and be slow and careful with turning in the knuckle as not to damage softer materials.

Worked like it should have, which when put to the alternative of making your own was 1000% worth the little amount it was, careful to not put it all the way in or the tab on the strut won’t let it out!

Worked GREAT. Excellent material, I half expected it to snap when I used it. It worked perfectly. No bending, nothing. It just worked. Safe to use. I recommend it.

Bad tool I’m general small and only worked for 1 knuckle and it stripped the knuckle a bit and the tool itself by 1/16th of an inch
