I got this to make removing the coil packs and changing my plugs easier. You don't have to have it to but I think it's worth it just so you can apply more even pressure and avoid damaging anything.

Simple little tool that makes life easier. I have to replace my spark plugs every 10k miles, so I figured I might as well have the proper tool
