Didn't drop my operating temp to 180, nonetheless still a quality product

We are sorry to hear that this did not drop your operating temp. Just to confirm how are you checking the temp? Are you checking it with a VCDS? Or by the coolant temp sensor? In most cases, the temp sensor will show a broad range and not the exact temperature. You may want to confirm with a VAG-COM or ODB Eleven to see what the system is reading. The thermostats should crack open at 180 degrees.
