Porsche Boxster and Cayman factory front engine mount bushings are particularly prone to cracking because of the large amount of voiding in the rubber material. If left unchecked, the rubber will continue to wear and knocking sounds may appear as you accelerate, brake and turn. Gear changes also become sloppy and lose precision.

The Powerflex Front Engine Mount Bushing is an ideal replacement for worn or failed parts. If your stock bushings are in good condition see our engine mount bushing insert (bottom of page) which offers an easy way to limit engine movement and provide greater engine stability.

While inserts are a good way to prolong the life of the original mount, it is recommended that they are only used with stock mounts that are still in good condition.
