After years of abuse the bushings in the shift tower on top of the transmission start to wear out causing harder shifts and a loose feel in the shifter. This kit replaces the shift tower bushings including the guide bushing with the ball-bearing inner carrier along with the top bushings and lower seal.
These parts are internal to the shift-tower on top of the transmission.
Not for model year 1999 vehicles.
All items in this kit are Genuine Volkswagen parts. 02A301320B / 02A311648C / 02A301227M
FITS: 2000-2005 Golf/Jetta manual trans models only including 5-spd and 6-spd models.

The parts received were, and are, fine. Removal of the old bearing did not go as easy as I was led to believe in forum posts, and I could not find a blind bearing puller for rent, or even for sale, anywhere locally, so I ended up having a machine shop end mill the bearing shell out and charge me only for shop time. It's all back together and working fine now.
