From the factory, MK5/Mk6 use a "noise pipe" to bring engine noise into the cabin. UroTuning offers this "noise pipe" delete kit. Utilizing a 4 ply silicone cap and German hose clamp, this is the most simple solution out there. Deleting this pipe has been known to increase throttle response and reduce cabin noise. It also improves the look of your engine bay by removing the ugly factory piece running through it.

The cap fit perfect, and it really cleaned up the engine bay, getting rid of the noise pipe. I didn’t notice any power or throttle response gains as some people have, but again, I didn’t expect to.
Only reason I dropped a star was because of the clamp. The band of the clamp was stainless, but the screw was steel and it just felt kinda cheap. I think it would function just fine, but I replaced it with an all stainless marine clamp to avoid corrosion.
…and once again, UroTuning, knocked it out of the park with quick shipping and careful packaging!

The install took me only 15 min. You feel a slight difference when accelerating. This was a quick and easy mod. No more noise pipe.

Fit my 2009 gti perfect. Straight forward install. Remove noise pipe. Install plug. Tighten clamp. No benefits other than appearance

Although this isn't a performance mod, it definitely cleaned up the engine bay. Getting rid of the noise pipe is a must and let's face it, it's a useless part. This is a quick and easy solution to guide the boost where it's supposed to go
