Eliminate sloppy shifts forever! This Ultimate kit pieced together by UroTuning includes all the main pieces that result in sloppy shifting located on top of the transmission.

Shifter Bushings
CNC machined shifter cable bushings and shifter bracket bushings tighten up the movement of your shifter cables, literally connecting your hand to the gears. In a performance situation, the factory rubber bushings flex causing a delay in the engagement in the gears. These Performance bushings eliminate this delay and provide a precision shift free of slop or hesitation. Each bushing is CNC machined from 6061 aluminum and fit precisely within the factory endlink. Each bushing is sleeved with an oil-impregnated bronze bearing. This bearing provides constant lubrication and a lifetime of use without wear.

Shifter Tower Bushings
After years of abuse the bushings in the shift tower on top of the transmission start to wear out causing harder shifts and a loose feel in the shifter. This kit replaces the shift tower bushings including the guide bushing with the ball-bearing inner carrier along with the top bushings and lower seal. These parts are internal to the shift-tower on top of the transmission.

Specifically machined for your car, the Ultimate Shifter Cable Performance Kit will provide instant results.

DOES THIS KIT FIT YOUR CAR Read below for details to make sure.

During model year 2002 VW ditched the ball/socket style endlinks and shifter linkage in favor of simple pin/clip style connections. The old style ball/socket endlinks and shifter linkage will not accept our shifter bushings. If you have an early Mk4, the only option is to upgrade your linkages and end links to the pin/clip style.

The Mk4 front/back endlink is square and accepts a version of our round bushing. The pin diameter is roughly 10mm. This front/back endlink connects directly to the weighted shift linkage. It is used on all mk4 5 & 6 speed transmissions after 2002.5.

The Mk4 side/side endlink is square and accepts a version of our round bushing. The pin diameter is roughly 8mm. This side/side endlink connects directly to the metal side/side linkage. It is used on all mk4 5 & 6 speed transmissions after 2002.5.

What could be different on my car?

You may have the ball/socket style endlinks, regardless of vehicle model year. VW did not make the change abruptly. In our research we've found almost all Mk4 generation cars switched to the pin/clip style endlinks during 2002.
