Description
The Unitronic Performance Downpipe for the 2017+ S4® & S5® 3.0TFSI® EA839 (CWG) engine is a direct bolt-on upgrade, designed to optimally eliminate unwanted restrictions in the factory downpipe, reduce turbo lag and enhance the exhaust note. It utilizes a 6” 400cpsi ultra high output catalytic converter, designed in partnership with Unitronic, from our emissions partners at Global Emissions Systems Inc (GESi®).
Paired with Unitronic Stage 2 Performance Software and other supporting bolt-ons, this Performance Downpipe helps yield up to 467HP / 547LB-FT on the 3.0TFSI equipped B9 S4 and S5.

Meets or Exceeds Local Testing Standards
While working closely with GESi through several iterations of their G-Sport Emissions Systems Catalytic Converters over the years, our goal once again was to ensure this product would satisfy our compliance demands, while fulfilling Unitronic's performance related goals. Unitronic quickly opted for a GESi 6" UHOX converter for this Performance Downpipe, which met the requirements for the modern 3.0TFSI, while being rated for a massive 1200HP.
Unbeatable Design and Construction
Unitronic utilized OEM-style thermal isolation / heat shielding to not only protect the engine bay from radiant heat, but also ensure catalyst temperature is reached and maintained for optimal efficiency and function. The large 6" catalytic converter provides exceptional flow while greatly enhancing the sound of the turbocharged 3.0TFSI engine. The smooth post-cat stainless steel transition leads into 4.5" T304 stainless steel tubing which terminates at the factory 3-bolt mid-pipe flanges to ensure a seamless direct bolt-on fitment.
Maximum Performance with Unitronic Software
In order to take full advantage of this all-new Performance Downpipe, Unitronic Stage 2 ECU Performance Software is now available for the B9 3.0TFSI platform. With testing and validations completed, power output is dramatically increased over Stage 1 and Stage 1+ levels for a maximum of 467HP / 547LB-FT.
Install
The Unitronic Performance Downpipe for the B9 S4 and S5 offers direct bolt-on installation. Using 3D modeling technology, Unitronic's Downpipes feature precise fitment allowing them to be mounted within a matter of hours with moderate mechanical knowledge and tools.
