Eliminate sloppy shifts forever!

Our CNC machined shifter cable bushings tighten up the movement of your shifter cables, literally connecting your hand to the gears. In a performance situation, the factory rubber bushings flex causing a delay in the engagement in the gears. Our bushings eliminate this delay and provide a precision shift free of slop or hesitation.

Our shifter cable bushings are CNC machined from 6061 aluminum and fit precisely within the factory endlink. Each bushing is sleeved with an oil-impregnated bronze bearing. This bearing provides constant lubrication and a lifetime of use without wear.

Specifically machined for a variety of fitments, our shifter cable bushings provide instant results. Installation is a simple task and requires only slight modification to the side/side endlink. If you're looking to feel your shifts, these bushings are the answer!

VW Mk4 Jetta, Golf, GTI

  • 2002.5 - 2005
  • 5 & 6 Speed

During model year 2002 VW ditched the ball/socket style endlinks and shifter linkage in favor of simple pin/clip style connections. The old style endlinks and shifter linkage, pictured below will not accept our shifter bushings. If you have an early Mk4, the only option is to upgrade your linkages and end links to the pin/clip style.

The Mk4 front/back endlink is square and accepts a version of our round bushing. The pin diameter is roughly 10mm. This front/back endlink connects directly to the weighted shift linkage. It is used on all mk4 5 & 6 speed transmissions after 2002.5.

The Mk4 side/side endlink is square and accepts a version of our round bushing. The pin diameter is roughly 8mm. This side/side endlink connects directly to the metal side/side linkage. It is used on all mk4 5 & 6 speed transmissions after 2002.5.

What could be different on my car?

You may have the ball/socket style endlinks, regardless of vehicle model year. VW did not make the change abruptly. In our research we've found almost all Mk4 generation cars switched to the pin/clip style endlinks during 2002.

If your car matches the specs above, you need the following shifter bushing kit:
