Audi's new naming strategy, Nürburgring lap times, end of Huracan production, and more!

Welcome to UroTuning news! Audi has decided to shake things up by introducing a new naming strategy for their vehicles. The goal is to create a clear differentiation between their electric vehicles (EVs) and their internal combustion engine counterparts. Under this new plan, even numbered models will represent their EV lineup, while odd numbered models will continue to symbolize the classic internal combustion engine vehicles.

The implementation of this strategy has already commenced with the introduction of the Q8 e-tron. The next vehicle to follow suit will be the next generation of the A4, which will be known as the B10 A5 moving forward. This shift in naming convention aims to streamline Audi's vehicle lineup and make it easier for consumers to identify the type of powertrain each model possesses.

Moving on to the world of speed, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS has proven itself as one of the fastest cars to ever conquer the Nürburgring track. Although the impressive sub 7-minute lap time was not achieved by Porsche itself nor officially sanctioned, it was accomplished by German Publication, Sport Auto, with their skilled driver, Christian Gebhardt. While it may not have surpassed Porsche's own time of 6 minutes and 44 seconds, breaking the sub-7-minute barrier is an extraordinary accomplishment. To put it into perspective, this lap time is faster than that of the Dodge Viper ACR, Porsche 918 Spyder, and Lamborghini Aventador SV.

Speaking of Lamborghini, if you have your eye on a brand-new Huracan, you may encounter some difficulty as production is scheduled to conclude in 2024. The demand for the Huracan has been so overwhelming that Lamborghini has already received enough orders to fill production until the successor model arrives. While production is set to culminate with the off-road-oriented Sterrato, there is a possibility of a special commemorative edition to celebrate the end of the Huracan's lifecycle.

On another note, Brembo, the renowned braking system manufacturer, is experiencing a surge in production and shows no signs of slowing down. With a 10% increase in revenue, all Brembo plants are currently operating at full capacity. In order to accommodate this growth, Brembo plans to invest 500 million euros in expanding production facilities to Mexico, China, and Poland. Fortunately for our customers, we happen to carry Brembo products, ensuring you have access to their high-performance braking solutions.

We'd love to hear your thoughts on these exciting developments in the automotive world. Stay tuned for more updates from UroTuning news!
