Do you want to zip along the highway? Are you looking to improve your Audi's performance?

If so, you might want to consider adding some Audi performance parts to your vehicle.

Don't get us wrong, the standard factory issue is fantastic. However, if you really want to take your car to the next level, you'll need to make some adjustments. Keep on reading to learn how to upgrade it in 9 different ways.

1. Use Disk Brakes

We've put this at the very top because, even though you might want to hit the gas, safety should always be your first priority.

Quite frankly, speeding up on a set of old brakes is not safe. In fact, it can be quite dangerous.

So, if your brakes are older, consider replacing them with disk brakes. Disk brakes make it easier for your car to slow down after going at an intense speed.

This gives you the peace of mind you need to cruise without fear!

2. Select New Tires

Not all tires are created with the same level of grip.

Audi manufacturers its own tires, which it issues with its cars. They claim to keep your car running as close to its original performance as possible. As a result, they are a good option for you if you want to keep your vehicle in the same condition.

Yet, if you want to improve your car's performance, invest in some new tires with even better rubber and grip.

3. Add Alloy To The Brake Disks

Now that you've made your wheels the best they can be, consider adding alloy to your brake disks.

Alloy interacts with the disks as they heat up, helping them cool more quickly.

4. Improve Your Airflow

When people think of improving the speed or performance of their car, they first think of improving the engine. But what's the first thing you should consider when opening your vehicle?

Would it surprise you if we said airflow?

The airflow in your piston cave is what controls your horsepower. Engineers recommend 14.1:1 as the standard airflow to fuel ratio. Yet, you can add some more airflow to your vehicle without causing any problems.

Because of this, you will want to get a non-standard air filter box. Air filters direct air from the outside to your engine, meaning they are directly responsible for capping just how fast you can accelerate.

5. Improve Your Induction System

When you purchase a vehicle from the manufacturer, it sports a standard induction system. This is perfectly fine if all you want to do with your car is take it to work and back or go for Sunday drives.

You really won't get the most out of your car's performance, though, unless you replace it with a forced induction system.

Above, we discussed the benefits of increasing airflow to your engine. Forced induction systems blast compressed air into your car's powerhouse, giving you more horsepower capability.

6. Get Cool Air To Your Cylinders

Let's look at your cylinders next.

When air and fuel enter the cylinders, the cylinders convert the fuel into energy that then goes on to power the rest of the vehicle. The more air you can cram into the cylinders, the better they will perform.

The only problem? Hot air expands, and you've just blasted your engine with lots of hot air. In order to get more past the valves and into the cylinder, you'll need it condensed.

Enter intercoolers.

Intercoolers chill the air in your engine, making it dense enough for more air to slip past the valves and improve your cylinders' performance.

7. Limited Slip Differential

Did you know that your limited slip differential (LSD) can save you from disastrous results on the road?

In a typical car, the inside portions of your wheel need to turn slower than the outside portions when you're turning a corner. If this fails to happen, you will burn through your tires pretty quickly.

Standard car models also redirect torque to the turning wheel. When this happens, your everyday driver can safely navigate turns.

Yet, if you're going at excessive speed, you'll rip around the corner too sharply, which could cause you to crash.

Because of this, it's important you have LSD in your vehicle. LSD only allows for limited speed differences. This will always guarantee you some traction when you're making those turns.

8. Upgrading Your Steering System

While going at those incredible speeds, you'll need to be able to steer your vehicle with the utmost precision.

After all, you'll need to avoid other cars on the road, take sharp turns, and possibly even avoid crashes at a moment's notice.

Modifications or updates to your steering system are definitely in order.

Consider upgrading your vehicle for quick ratio steering, which will allow for easier, more precise navigation.

9. Heavier Engine Modifications

One of the best ways to increase your performance is to do some heavy work on your engine.

For instance, if you're looking to use your car for racing, invest in some racing camshafts. Camshafts open and close exhaust valves and can improve your engine's overall performance.

In addition, if you want to improve your car's rotating assembly components, you can purchase rotating assembly kits.

It's important that you don't just buy a bunch of different parts and attempt to match them together, however. This can negatively affect your performance.

Whenever possible, it's best to buy the kits, as the experts who make the kits have already located the best parts.
