The FastMD / Speed Syndicate / UroTuning Race Team took to Daytona International Speedway last week for the IMPC series opener, hoping to take the track by storm! The 23 car driven by James Vance and Max Faulkner, and the 32 car driven by Will Tally and Mikey Taylor started off strong during a rainy practice session on Thursday, leading the field and finishing practice with the first and second fastest lap times. After practice, Max Faulkner had a great run going during qualifying until the gremlins crept in and car issues kept Max from completing the teams flying lap.

Nevertheless, the team pressed on, with Vance and Faulkner starting the #23 Audi TCR from the 10th position into the 4 hour race. After dominating for much of the first half of the race, the 23 car developed an unfortunate fuel issue, slowing down the momentum that Vance and Faulkner hoped to take past the finishline.

With Vance and Faulkner dealing with problems in the 23 car, Mikey Taylor and Will Tally pressed on, managing to snatch a podium finish at the world famous Daytona International Speedway. A huge congratulations from everyone at UroTuning on an amazing first race! We can't wait to see what unfolds in March at Sebring.
