Did you know that the Porsche brand history goes back to 1948? Founder Ferdinand Porsche created the brand with 200 workers, and the first model introduced was the Porsche 356 in 1949.

One of the most beloved models is the Porsche 911, which has 21 different versions in the U.S. To learn more about the 2022 Porsche, keep reading.

The GTS generates 473 horsepower, which surpasses the base Carreras 379. The GTS can also reach 60 mph in 3.1 seconds.

All models also come with a quick-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission, and they all can add a seven-speed manual. There is also an optional sports exhaust system that provides a fuller engine note.

Other standard Porsche parts to note in the 2022 model include:

  • Active Suspension Management
  • Ceramic Composite Brakes (an additional $9,870)
  • Suede-like Race-Text fabric around the wheel

Drivers have the option to purchase the 911 in a Lightweight Package, which trims around 55 pounds by eliminating the rear seat, swapping in trimmer glass, and cutting sound insulation.

Mileage

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), this new Porsche averages around 18 miles per gallon in the city and 25 on the highway, averaging about 21 for combined city and highway.

The EPA further estimates that for this vehicle, the annual fuel cost will be around $2,800 to $2,950.
